Happy 4th of July…Mamas!

Hello and welcome to my new blog! I’ve decided to compile all of my Mom doings: food, crafts, events around town and ones I’m preparing for, neat tips, tricks, and ideas all rolled into one site!

First up…I love a good freebie! On Sunday, July 23rd, participating Verizon stores will be giving out free backpacks from 1-4pm!

Definitely do not forget! Our local MomCo group is having Back to School-1st day picture Saturday, August 26th and we’ll be having a donation box to collect any school supplies you won’t need or if you have extra and we will give it to a local preschool in need! We are extending this event to all school age kids, click here to RSVP to this!

Before summer is over and you’re back to the daily grind of school, RSVP right here to our Christmas in July Mom’s night out event! (Saturday, July 22nd) We’ll be making these awesome wine bottle gifts perfect for the hard to shop for….on your gift list. I love this so much because I always am trying to make homemade gifts, I find most people buy what they want for themselves, so something made from my heart means so much more!

I love this program so much I have to share again! There are several schools and churches set up in the area that serve lunches all summer long! Click this link to view all locations in your area.

As I’ve said before, I’m a sucker for good crafts to make with the kids, or just me on my own! It relaxes me and is always a good stress reliever. I have to share these 20 awesome 4th of July crafts and activities! We just celebrated the 4th this weekend but I’m totally making shirts with the kids next year since we could do this outside, which equals less mess for me! And I have very cute ideas for a girlie version of a 4th of July shirt, so I’m very excited!

I made this dish this weekend and we had it along with hamburgers and hot dogs, corn on the cob, and pasta salad. I am really pleased with how it held up over 2 days AND my kids at this with corn and hot dogs so I felt they ate really good! (I’ve got some picky eaters!) Here is the recipe! I used lime instead of lemons, and added a little honey and it was delicious!

So my next post I’m so excited to announce a new thing I’m going to be creating! Hint: it will be for Mom’s night only events so I’m thrilled to be expanding on something for “us”. I’m having a trial here soon to see how it goes, and I hope to have you all join me in this! Have a very happy 4th of July and see you soon!
